Yup, I decided to start [making remixes] with Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” for a number of reasons.
1) I had access to the a capella track
2) I wanted to see how it sounded more ballady. Yeah, it takes some getting used to since I’ve heard it as the awesome almost-disco pounding americana arrangement so many times… but I like it this way too.
3) I just think this song is undeniably really really incredible… and so does everyone else. It’s been on the billboard charts for 21 weeks and only moved up and up and up until it hit number one… and it’s been sitting there for weeks. It’s also been sitting strong at number one on iTunes, the album was the number one on billboard and iTunes as well… it just totally cleaned up. She’s got skills.

Our first taste of Trent Reznor’s work on director David Fincher’s adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo just arrived in the form of the highly anticipated film’s debut trailer, which is soundtracked by a new cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song,” produced by the Nine Inch Nails mastermind and featuring Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O on vocals. Above, you can watch a decent leak of the clip, complete with surprisingly good audio of their thrilling take on the 1970 hit.
